Saturday Mac Attack – Intermediate Trail Ride April 25th 2009

April 22, 2009
Saturday Mac Attack – Intermediate Trail Ride April 25th.
(come in off Starcrest, first large parking lot on the right. Look for the white truck)

While this is not a super-beginner trail ride, many of us, (me) have not ridden trail all year so we’re not going fast and we’re getting reaquainted with the park, so we’ll be going slow and not too technical.

Dust off the trail bikes and meet us out at the park at 4 pm, by lower soccer feild between Pavilion 3 and the Dog Park. Wheels down at 4:15 pm. Come in off Starcrest, first large parking lot on the right. Look for the truck. If you can’t find us, just call me.

This will be one of many trail rides for the spring!!!

Letty – see, you do not need to fear the blog – the blog is good. J/K

That was cool that after we cancelled the ride, we were able to hook up for an in-town ride anyway, and not lose a day of riding!! That is one reason for having the blog – so all of you can communucate faster with each other…

      Thanks again for the ride…

Please clarify meeting place and time for the big May 2nd event. Calendar says faster people can have wheels down at 7:00a.m. but May 2 is special so timing may not apply. So glad I was able to join up with you today. It was a wonderful morning. – Letty

What FUN I had on the trails at Mac Saturday afternoon. I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to Guy and Veronica for the time they spent with me on the trails. They were patient, informative, and willing to teach this mountain biking novice. What a great jewel San Antonio has with the Ride Like A Girl organization. I felt like I had a private lesson from two people that are passionate about what they do. I can’t wait for the next lesson and will be practicing my “baby hills” so that I can get to work on the bigger hills. Thanks again for a wonderful ride. I haven’t had that much fun on my bike EVER!!

Kim – We had so much fun!! I’m so glad you joined us. And I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I don’t know where the other ‘trail’ riders were. We have alot of people request us to do trails rides, but then the turn-out is low.

We must not be connecting properly somewhere along the line.

We are considering another one next Saturday – I’ll keep you posted.

Letty – You are talking about the rider photo shoot for Saturday, May 2nd, yes??

The early group will meet at 7:15am (this is what the site should say, I hope it does) with wheels down at 7:30am. What will probably happen is Guy will lead the group and our photog will be set up to shoot on the route.

As the riders go by the designated ‘photo spot’, she’ll shoot them as they ride by. Every one in the fast group will do the early ride as usual, except for the photog.

Then we’ll do the same thing at 8:30AM. Maybe we could do some group shots with the early group and the beginners at 8:30 before the beginner ride starts, but after they’ve arrived???

We’ll shoot the beginners the same way, as they do the ride as usual. That’s the plan anyway…
