‘Tri Like A Girl’ Training Rides start this Sunday May 3rd!!

May 1, 2009

Starting this Sunday, May 3rd, we begin having regular Tri Training Rides every first Sunday of every month.  We are combining our Intermediate Training & our Tri Training into one great ride for everyone.  We’ve teamed up with Tri-sition Area, that great new triathlete store at Bitters & 1604, to bring you all training rides.

We’re gonna ride the loop out to Kyle Seale Parkway. An excellent chance to do some moderate hill training.

We have 2 levels:

Level 1 – will do a steady pace of 12-14 mph with a distance of 21-27 miles.

Level 2 – will do a moderate pace of 15-17 mph for 30 & 40 miles.

Please note the new start location.  We will be meeting at the Tri-sition Area Store located on the corner of Bitters & Loop 1604. (This is across on the south side of 1604 from spectrum) at 7:30 am and will have wheels down at 8 am. We will have cue sheets available for both levels.

These rides will be great training for both our Tour De Cure riders and our Triathlon riders.

In addition, we’ll also be having several tri clinics to introduce everyone to the benefit & fun of training for triathlons!

We need your feedback and questions – We are considering adding a second Tri-Training ride on the 3rd Sunday of every month.  Take a moment and post a comment.  Let us know if this is what you want/need, what questions you have, if you’re excited about the addition, what else all of you need to make cycling a regular & fun part of your life!!!

Also check out our new tri page:

I look forward to hearing from & seeing ALL of YOU!!cyclist3arunner4atriathele1a1

Well……..I have to ask the silly questions. What exactly does that mean I have to bring with me? Besides running shoes 🙂

Actually, that is not a silly question. I’m so glad you asked.

This is a bike ride. Not a run. So you would need to bring all your biking stuff with you & leave your running shoes at home.

You are not the only one that misunderstood the post. I’m re-reading it trying to figure out what change to make so it is clearer.

Any suggestions anyone has will be greatly appreciated!!

    See everyone tomorrow!
